How long does it typically take to establish a foreign-funded enterprise in China?

The time required to establish a foreign-invested enterprise in China varies depending on the specific circumstances of each enterprise and the local Administration for Industry and Commerce (AIC). For foreign direct investments that do not require approval, the process follows the general company establishment procedures outlined in Chinese company law, which can be completed in as little as 7 working days. For foreign direct investments that require approval, the declaration and approval process typically takes more than 32 working days.
